Why are people so quick to divorce and not try counseling first?

I wonder why people get married to begin with if they’re just going to divorce when things get difficult and tough.

I agree with you to an extent. I don’t believe in divorce for financial issues or petty arguments. However, some events are a deal breaker for me. Cheating is one of them. Also, unless a person is truly willing to change, there is no marriage counselor in the world that is going to save a relationship. It takes hard work from both parties to succeed.

Because getting a divorce is way too easy. People want instant gratification and don’t want to make any effort to make their relationship work.

I dunno. I wish I did before my marriage died

Because divorce is to easy.
If it was hard and painful it wouldn’t be so popular.

These days marriages are disposable.
It’s easy to get married, and twice as easy to get divorced.
We live in a society where people like easy, convenient and disposable items. We are all spoiled as a society, and are taught that when the going gets tough, give up and start over.
I don’t believe in counseling myself, but I do know that marriage is a lot of work for both people.
You can’t just bail out as soon as it gets a little tough.
