I signed my divorce papers at a Buffalo Wild Wings. My ex had to have booze available before he signed. All you need is a notary public to witness the signatures and stamp them.
If its an uncontested divorce you can do it yourself. You would prepare divorce papers, file them at the court, and serve them to your spouse. The spouse would sign them wherever they wish, the location does not matter.
If its a contested divorce then a lawyer is required to get the divorce finalized.
