Can we still file 2009 tax jointly even filing for divorce?

My wife and me are filing for divorce since last month, we did not finish the process yet, Can we file the 2009 tax jointly?

anonimitie March 11, 2010 at 1:57 pm: Filing for divorce is not divorced. If you are still married then, yes, you can file as married.

By the same token, engaged couples can *not* file as though they were married.
tax2009 March 11, 2010 at 1:57 pm: In the end of 2009, if both of you did not have any divorced certificate so you are eligible to file jointly.
